Inspired by the efficient form and robust materiality of an oar, the MC 21 Leva chair is designed ergonomically. The backrest and arms are formed from a single steam-bent piece of machined timber, resulting in a seamless profile which maximises comfort, whilst minimising material use.
The streamlined chair, though seemingly simple in shape, fulfils a complex brief. It is pleasing to the eye, appropriate for a range of settings from living rooms to restaurants, comfortable to sit on, and durable enough to last generations.
